I arrived in Pierre SD and started looking for motels, most of the ones in town had horrible reviews! So i decided on Ft Pierre Motel. What a great choice, reception was very friendly and spoke english the room is spotless and smelled great. If ever in Ft Pierre i highly recommend this place..
This newly updated hotel is fantastic. It is clear why so many people talk about the place… It’s the Schwinler family. They run this place with refreshing attention to detail. It is clean as a whistle. And it is located just off the highway, where you can easily pull in if you’re driving the horse trailer, fishing boat, or hunting trailer. If all you have ever stayed at were chain hotels, you were in for an eye-opener with these people. It will take no time for you to realize that it is a whole different experience in the best way possible. I would recommend you stay there no matter why you come to the Pierre or Ft. Pierre area. These people are the best.
Stay here as a hunting base many times. Great people, clean rooms, sportsman friendly. My first call when needing a room I'm the area.
Amazing motel! Affordable price. Super clean rooms.Awesome customer service. They serve coffee and doughnuts for breakfast in the morning and it is locally owned and operated. very convenient to park right in front of the door and unload are stuff. There is also spots to plug your boat in.
Clean comfortable rooms, friendly staff, great location. Rooms are kind of barebones but that's all we needed. We will definitely be back!

The Fort Pierre motel has been my home for the past 1 and a half months. I sincerely want to express my gratitude towards the owners, for my stay, and for the room service lady's that ensures there are always clean linen, towels and that the rooms are in tip top condition. As well as the outside areas are always clean and tidy. Thank you for the complementary coffee always available from the reception office. On behalf of all South Africans, we enjoyed our stay, and we would highly recommend the Fort Pierre Motel.
Very clean, updated, pleasant. Nice sheltered picnic tables and plenty of room if you have a dog. I like that the rooms do not have carpet but vinyl plank! The river is right in the backyard and nice to sit by. I'll be back!
